The Legal Intern will work under the direction of the Associate General Counsel and Senior Director of Legal Affairs and other leaders in the Legal Department to get hands-on professional experience in the practice of law. You might be the right person if you…
- Have the ability to work independently with minimal oversight and have a demonstrated ability to follow through on projects in a timely manner.
- Have a genuine interest in learning the role of in-house counsel in a fast-paced global corporate environment.
- Have strong desire to build skills in contracting engagement and review process.
- Are comfortable performing legal research and drafting memoranda for various matters pertaining to the organization.
- Under attorney supervision, draft and review correspondence, issue spot and comment/redline agreements, and other legal documents.
- Support the Legal Operations Function.
- Assist Legal Affairs Team with supporting and advising internal clients and business units.
- Perform other tasks and special projects related to the Legal Affairs function.
- Report on your progress in a timely manner.
- The Skills Needed for the Job
- Rising 1-3L currently enrolled full-time at an accredited law school.
- Interest in learning about role of in-house counsel.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
