Sr. Technician, Facilities
Position Overview
Responsible for the overall condition of the facility, interior and exterior appearance of building and structural integrity. Coordinates interior furniture and fixture management. Oversees and performs general electrical, mechanical and plumbing maintenance with attention to clean room status. Program maintenance in MP2 and handling of BMS. Job duties:
- Coordinates, assigns and oversees the proper execution of the preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance programs carried out in the different systems.
- Maintains and follows proper compliance and systems requirements.
- Coordinates, assigns, and oversees the basic solution of problems, repairs and maintenance on facility equipment, controls and systems, including water, fire/life safety and security systems.
- Coordinates with contractors and service providers who perform more complex repairs and maintenance of equipment and building.
- Utilizes standard and cordless power tools.
- Manages daily facilities requests, DocuSphere Workflow, and MP2.
- Assists in movement of office furniture, materials and equipment as required.
- Maintains preventive maintenance logs.
- Disposes of waste chemicals and materials following approved safety processes and procedures.
- On call responder for alarm calls (evening and weekend coverage).
- Performs additional responsibilities as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Five (5) years maintenance or facilities experience.
- Current CA driver license, with excellent driving record.
- Mechanical/electrical aptitude with problem solving skills.
- General knowledge of plumbing.
- Knowledge at BMS user level.
- Clean Room and controlled environment experience.
- Must be a self-starter that works well with people at all levels.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Proficient math skills.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
- Proficient with MS Office, Excel and Outlook.
- Knowledge of phone/data systems is a plus.
- Experience with 5/S Program.
- Knowledge of occupational health.
- Certificate in trade school or equivalent work experience related to project management, vendor management, facilities and/or maintenance.
