Associate Director, Financial Planning & Analysis

Position Overview

Responsible for playing a critical role in supporting the financial management and strategic planning activities. Oversee financial operations, provide financial analysis and reporting, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including senior management, to drive financial performance and contribute to the company's overall growth and success. Job duties:Financial Planning and Analysis:
  • Develop and manage the annual financial planning process, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insight to support strategic decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Financial Operations Management:
  • Monitor financial performance, identify key drivers, and recommend strategies to optimize revenue and control costs.
  • Support the commercial efforts of a medical device company to meet financial commitments.
  • Manage financial processes, including accruals and allocation of expenses to appropriate cost centers to ensure accurate and timely financial transactions.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets, ensure compliance, and automate where possible.
Strategic Financial Planning:
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Conduct financial analysis of potential investments, acquisitions, and partnerships to support strategic decision-making.
  • Evaluate and recommend financial strategies to optimize capital structure, cash flow, and working capital management.
Team Leadership and Development:
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to finance team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration with other departments, such as Sales, Marketing, and Operations, to align financial goals with overall business objectives.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to finance in the medical device sector.
  • Comply with applicable Laws and Regulations, adhere to Quality Management System processes and requirements as well as demonstrate Ethics and Integrity in all matters and at all levels throughout the organization.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Salary: $133,000 - $177,000 Financial compensation packages may be higher/lower than what is listed, & will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, internal equity, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.

    1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
    2. CPA or CMA
    3. Minimum ten (10) years of professional experience in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
    4. Minimum three (3) years of management responsibility.
    5. Proven experience in financial management within the medical device industry or a similar regulated environment.
    6. Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements specific to medical device companies.
    7. Proficiency in financial analysis, forecasting, and financial modeling.
    8. Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
    9. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
    10. Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
    11. Advanced proficiency in financial software and tools, such as SAP and Hyperion.
    12. Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
    Desired Qualifications
    1. Broad knowledge of Accounting concepts, techniques, and principles, including foreign currency statement re-measurement, foreign currency translation, and consolidations.
    2. Requires skills in analyzing and interpreting financial data.
    3. Ability to provide accuracy in operating with large amounts of data.
    4. Assume responsibility and timeliness of work completion.
    5. Experience in SAP and Hyperion Consolidations desirable.
