Director, IT Applications Delivery
Position Overview
Strategic leadership role responsible for planning, implementation, support and continuous improvement of IT business applications and data architectures serving all business functions. Ensure successful management and execution of project portfolio delivering efficient, scalable, and secure business applications, including enterprise-level and department-specific applications, that align with business objectives, enhance operational excellence, and comply with relevant regulations. Oversee teams responsible for application implementation activities (development, configuration, integration, and testing), support, lifecycle management, and IT change management. Foster a culture of business partnership, innovation, and continuous improvement while maintaining transparent communication to IT and business stakeholders. Job duties:

- Contribute to achievement of Terumo Neuro’s IT mission statement through execution of IT strategic roadmap and delivery of secure, scalable, and efficient IT solutions.
- Recruit, develop, retain, and allocate IT resources to ensure the team can meet business objectives and priorities. Conduct performance reviews and create career development plans to foster professional growth.
- Build repeatable methodologies for implementation and maintenance of enterprise systems, off-the-shelf applications, and custom/low-code software development.
- Oversee design, implementation, and optimization of business data warehouse, ensuring seamless integration with applications to support data analytics and reporting.
- Maintain IT application portfolio employing best practices for documentation of technical/functional requirements, configurations, code, and integrations for knowledge retention and business continuity.
- Establish a cohesive IT Program Management function responsible for IT project portfolio management and ensure project management methods and tools are applied consistently to all business application projects.
- Establish and enforce IT governance processes for business requirements analysis, IT change management, and software testing to ensure fulfillment of business requirements and adherence to industry regulations.
- Ensure transparent communication of project status to executive leadership through various forums using concise visual presentation and reporting tools and metrics.
- Implement best practices for applications support and maintenance through issue resolution, change control, and proactive system monitoring.
- Work closely with Terumo SAP Center of Excellence to align system and resource availability and achieve seamless integration of applications with corporate ERP system.
- Work closely with IT Operations/DevOps team to develop processes for deployment of application changes and coordination of sustainable end-user support.
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors and software providers to ensure compliance with contracts and service level agreements.
- Comply with applicable Laws and Regulations, adhere to Quality Management System processes and requirements as well as demonstrate Ethics and Integrity in all matters and at all levels throughout the organization.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems Management, Business, Engineering, or related field of study.
- A minimum of twelve (12) years of experience in IT application management roles.
- A minimum of five (5) years of management or leadership responsibility/experience.
- Proven experience in managing IT teams and driving organizational change.
- Understanding of core business processes within Life Sciences industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proficient with MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- General knowledge of FDA, SOX/JSOX, and other auditable data management requirements.
- Proven experience in leading enterprise systems and business application implementation and enhancements projects.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise application platforms such as ERP (preferably SAP), QMS, PLM, MES, HRIS, LMS, business process automation tools, and digital transformation strategies.
- Experience in data architecture, data warehousing, and business intelligence solutions, including ETL processes, data governance, and analytics platforms.
- Experience implementing IT governance frameworks, project management methodologies, and change management practices in large multifaceted projects completed on time and budget.
- Ability to guide business to solutions using a disciplined approach to requirements definition, evaluation of alternatives, and selection of best solution path.
- Familiarity of software testing methods, including principles of formal computer software validation (CSV). Knowledge of medical device software regulations.
- Strong ability to design PowerPoint presentations that effectively convey complex concepts in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders.
