Sr Specialist, Field Inventory (U.S. Remote)

Position Overview

Oversee and optimize field-based inventory across trunk stock, consignment, and loaner programs within the business unit. Provide operational leadership, cross-functional support, and subject matter expertise in inventory deployment, audit readiness, and utilization strategy. In collaboration with Sales, Customer Service, Finance, Supply Chain, and Quality, ensure asset visibility, policy adherence, and alignment with commercial and clinical needs. Job duties:
  • Manage day-to-day operations related to field inventory deployment, including trunk stock and consignment locations.
  • Support Field Inventory Management to ensure compliance with inventory-related contractual agreements (i.e., consignment contract addendum) and internal inventory policies.
  • Serve as a liaison between Sales and Operations to align field inventory with territory performance, forecasted demand, and product availability.
  • Support cross-functional teams on product transitions, backorder mitigation, and urgent fulfillment needs.
  • Lead quarterly field inventory reviews in collaboration with Regional and Territory Sales Managers.
  • Investigate variances and expired inventory in partnership with Finance and Quality.
  • Analyze usage trends and historical data to recommend trunk stock par levels and consignment adjustments.
  • Support operational reporting needs by identifying relevant field inventory metrics and partnering with the Analyst, Field Inventory to ensure accurate insights are reflected in dashboards and reports.
  • Support process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing inventory visibility and reducing expiry risk.
  • Assist in automation and system enhancements using Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Act as a mentor to junior team members and provide training support.
  • Ensure data integrity across SAP, SharePoint, and Power BI.
  • Comply with applicable Laws and Regulations, adhere to Quality Management System processes and requirements as well as demonstrate Ethic and integrity in all matters and at all levels throughout the organization.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Salary Range:

$70,000 - $95,000

    1. Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Analytics, or related discipline.
    2. Minimum five (5) years of experience in inventory control, field inventory operations, logistics, or a related function.
    3. Experience supporting commercial sales teams and consignment programs in the medical device industry.
    4. Experience with ERP systems, especially SAP.
    5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    6. Proficient computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
    Desired Qualifications
    1. Experience supporting consignment and rep-managed inventory programs in the medical device industry.
    2. Familiarity with Power BI; Power Platform experience preferred.
    3. Strong collaboration skills with a process improvement mindset.
