Technician I, R&D

Position Overview

Work in the laboratory to fabricate prototypes for animal and bench testing and perform testing and documentation duties with direct supervision. Job duties:
  • Fabricate prototypes, pilot units, verification units, and validation units.
  • Record test results on standard forms and write test reports describing procedures used.
  • Provide support for the development of new products.
  • Interface with Assemblers to teach new procedures.
  • Conduct tests to verify product integrity in the design phase.
  • Recognize problems and take corrective action.
  • Set up, adjust, and operate laboratory equipment and instruments such as microscopes.
  • Comply with applicable Laws and Regulations, adhere to Quality Management System processes and requirements as well as demonstrate Ethics and Integrity in all matters and at all levels throughout the organization.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Salary Range$19.38/jour - $25.43/hourFinancial compensation packages may be higher/lower than what is listed, & will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, internal equity, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.

    1. High school diploma or equivalent.
    2. A minimum of one (1) year of related experience.
    3. Good written and verbal communication skills.
    4. Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
    5. Basic computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, etc.
    6. Ability to read and understand technical documentation.
    7. Good laboratory or manufacturing practices and the ability to follow required safety procedures.
    8. Basic math skills.
    Desired Qualifications
    1. Associate degree or technical certification in a related field by an accredited body.
    2. Experience in the medical device industry.
