Associate Corporate Counsel, EMEA

Position Overview

The Corporate Counsel, EMEA will assist in corporate legal matters and related processes for EMEA Region for a globally focused medical device corporation. Tasks will include preparing, drafting and negotiating a wide variety of contracts and providing advice and counsel to various business functions, including clinical, sales, marketing, compliance and IT. Must be able to perform legal assignments with a high degree of independence, be detailed-oriented, and can adapt to changing priorities as well as a high volume of work under tight deadlines. Will perform legal work, conduct research and provide legal support and counsel to various functions.The position will reside within MicroVention Europe. Job duties:
  • ­Performs contracts function, including negotiating and drafting agreements including but not limited to clinical trial agreements, consulting agreements, distribution agreements, master service agreements, no-disclosure agreements.
  • Create, maintain and/or update templates of contracts.
  • Assist in the advice and counsel on all kind of legal support to solve any specific issue including management of preliminary works and active negotiation, drafting and follow up.
  • Work closely with MicroVention’s various business units, including Clinical, Sales, Marketing, compliance and IT to support their contract and advice needs.
  • Assist with GDPR matters including assessment, drafting processes and agreements.
  • Completes special projects as requested and participate in Legal Department initiatives and development.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Germany

    1. Post graduate University Diploma in Law.
    2. Three (3+) years of relevant legal experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.
    3. Proficient with MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
    4. Medical device, pharmaceutical or other healthcare-related experience highly desirable.
    Desired Qualifications
    1. Member of French Bar is a plus
    2. Excellent interpersonal skills
    3. Well-organized and autonomous in the organization of duties assigned.
    4. Good responsiveness to priorities, strategic and problem solving.
    5. A self-starter who is able to function in an individual contributor role as well as in the capacity of counselor to others.
    6. Strong English language skills (business nomenclature).#LI-DNI
