Sr Manager, Materials and Supply Execution

Position Overview

Responsible for leading Materials & Supply Execution activities for Aliso Viejo manufacturing site. Oversee site‑level production planning and direct materials purchasing execution in coordination with Global Supply Planning and Strategic Sourcing teams. Own the development and execution of detailed production schedules, material availability, inventory health, and execution readiness to support manufacturing, sterilization, and finished goods flow. Provide execution leadership to Planners and Buyers to ensure stable operations, efficient material flow, and service performance. Job duties:
  • Ensure raw material availability aligned to the site’s production plan through close coordination with Buyers, Production Planners, and suppliers.
  • Coordinate with Strategic Sourcing and suppliers to proactively address shortages, delivery risks, and material quality issues.
  • Establish and maintain site‑specific production scheduling rules and parameters at the SKU and work‑center level.
  • Manage inventory levels for raw materials, sub‑assemblies, and work‑in‑process to support production while minimizing excess and obsolescence.
  • Support new product introductions and commercial launches through production readiness planning and material execution support.
  • Partner with Business Excellence and Manufacturing to review capacity constraints and escalate risks impacting execution of the production plan.
  • Establish standard work, processes, and execution disciplines for production planning and site‑level purchasing teams.
  • Support on‑time delivery performance through effective plan execution and material availability.
  • Develop, track, and report execution KPIs related to schedule adherence, material availability, and inventory performance.
  • Develop tools to improve processes and manage material flow from supplier to finished goods warehouse.
  • Promote a safe and compliant work environment for the Materials & Supply Execution team.
  • Facilitate short‑term execution reviews with Global Supply Planning and cross‑functional stakeholders to address supply and capacity issues.
  • Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on execution stability, material flow, and inventory health.
  • Proactively identify execution risks related to material or capacity constraints and communicate potential supply impacts. Escalate execution‑level risks and material constraints to leadership as needed.
  • Drive actions to reduce non‑value‑added inventory and obsolescence exposure.
  • Provide day‑to‑day leadership, prioritization, and execution direction to direct reports.
  • Ensure accuracy and discipline of planning and purchasing master data supporting execution.
  • Comply with applicable Laws and Regulations, adhere to Quality Management System processes and requirements as well as demonstrate Ethics and Integrity in all matters and at all levels throughout the organization.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Salary Range:

$135,529 - $169,400 (Financial compensation packages may be higher/lower than what is listed, & will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, internal equity, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand)

    1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field.
    2. Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in supply chain execution, production planning, and/or direct materials purchasing.
    3. Minimum of two (2) years of management responsibility/experience.
    4. Manufacturing environment experience.
    5. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    6. Proficient computer skills including ERP systems, MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
    Desired Qualifications
    1. Successful track record of achieving execution and operational goals.
    2. APICS / ASCM certification.
    3. Medical device manufacturing experience.
