Position Overview
Salary: $21 -$34/hour. Compensation packages may be higher/lower than what is listed, & will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, education and class level.
Manufacturing Chemistry Intern (Projects) The Manufacturing Chemistry Intern supports cost improvement projects of products for medical devices with work including developing and optimizing manufacturing processes, product testing, project implementation and leadership – coordination with multidisciplinary teams. Typical job duties include:
- Support launch of new products.
- Interfaces with other departments to solve project problems.
- Evaluate, develop, and implement new technologies.
- Investigation and testing of product processes.
- Required Qualifications
- Working toward a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or other related discipline.
- Strong interest and/or experience in process development.
- Coursework and/or knowledge of statistics and tooling design (SolidWorks a plus).
- Ability to read and prepare technical documentation.
- Computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint (SolidWorks a plus).
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Working knowledge of standard machine shop equipment and process.
- Strong communication skills.
- Open minded, wanting to learn, critical and self-driving mindset.
- The primary work location for this position is Aliso Viejo, CA (company headquarters).
