Sr. Planner, Production
Position Overview
Own the decision of SKU-level high mix Finish goods (FG) and Work-in-Process (WIP) production plan to balance demand, inventory targets, family-level capacity, and Raw Materials availability using exceptional analytical capabilities in tools and systems. Communicate and lead the alignment with cross-functional stakeholders in Manufacturing Operation, Operational Excellence, Engineering, Procurement, Logistics, Global Supply Chain Planning. Influence without authority to drive consensus on the plan. Execute the plan by creating and releasing work order in SAP to initiate the production process. Lead strategic improvement initiatives that enable operations planning to improve company’s financial performance such as revenue, gross margin, and production absorption. As a critical and highly visible role in driving results for the company, often need to orchestrate multiple functions to align on competing priorities.
Job Duties
1. Lead activities to drive daily/weekly production output to meet weekly/monthly global demand and inventory targets as provided by the Global Supply Chain Planning group
2. Standardize planning process to create and manage SKU-level daily, weekly, and monthly production plan supported by family-level production capacity
3. Lead Operations planning metrics initiative, maintaining, and reporting key performance metrics, e.g., schedule adherence and Manufacturing Schedule Performance (MSP)
4. Orchestrate a broad range of key resources to ensure any constraints are quickly identified and work with production, quality, labeling, logistics and procurement partners to resolve issues. When issues cannot be mitigated, work closely with Global Supply Chain Planning to align on recovery plans and timelines to maintain the right expectation with overall business objectives
5. Escalate quickly and effectively when roadblocks cannot be resolved
6. Challenge and validate production run rates that optimize output and mix by product family or type that adhere to the capacity model
7. Validate with Procurement that the daily plan is supported from raw materials perspective
8. Standardize planning process to develop a subassemblies plan that supports FG needs
9. Communicate to Manufacturing about changes on capacity or requirements of the line and provide information in detail about the change
10. Maintain SAP and IBP (Integrated Business Planning) systems to ensure the systems are up to date with the corresponding plan and inventory
11. Act as Operations Planning subject matter expert on SAP and/or IBP
12. Manage SKU-level capacity for data analysis and tracking/map of units in IBP
13. Perform all required tasks related to the supply planning process to support the timely execution of the S&OP process
14. Support new product introduction (NPI’s) launches ensuring execution is aligned with project timeline
15. Manage testing/special orders and validation plan for any new improvement or product on the lines
16. Standardize NPI management process in Operations Planning
17. Lead projects of efficiency and process improvement. Obtain approvals from different departments on next steps. Identify gaps in the planning/manufacturing/distribution processes to improve lead time, product flow or production output
18. Perform complex analyses to produce data to highlight, drive awareness/understanding, and influence management and other key stakeholders to resolve complex issues where the problem or needed action is not immediately understood. Understand and communicate complex issues, and drive resolution
19. Identify inventory risks, including excess, obsolescence for End-of-Life products, and financial plan gap closing opportunities at various scenarios
20. Ensure complete alignment on the final SKU-level build plan with stakeholders while driving adherence to the S&OP calendar
21. Comply with applicable Laws and Regulations, adhere to Quality Management System processes and requirements as well as demonstrate Ethics and Integrity in all matters and at all levels throughout the organization
22. Perform additional duties as assigned

Salary Range:
$73,600 - $87,002 (Financial compensation packages may be higher/lower than listed, & will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, internal equity, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand)
- Required Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
2. A minimum of seven (7) years of relevant professional experience in a related field
3. Strong written and verbal communication with interpersonal and relationship-building skills and analytical approach towards problem solving in a matrix environment
4. Comfortable and capable of presenting to management and senior executives
5. Superior tech skills and expert in ERP usage and understanding
6. Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
1. Advanced degree in Supply Chain or related field
2. Supply Chain related certification (e.g., Certified Professional in Supply Management CPSM)
3. Knowledge of SQL, Database management
