Analyst, Windchill PLM Business Process (U.S. Remote)
Position Overview
Play a crucial role in analyzing, designing, optimizing, and supporting business processes within the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) ecosystem. Combine system support, business analysis, and configuration activities to deliver high-quality PLM solutions that align with business processes and objectives.

- Work with business process owners (Engineering, Manufacturing, Document Control) to help define user requirements, functional specifications and test cases
- Collaborate with business functions and translate business requirements into effective technical requirements
- Analyze existing processes, recommend improvements, and align solutions with PLM best practices
- Coordinate and support UAT activities, including preparing test sets, executing test cases, and validating results
- Work with IT PLM team to design scalable and compliant solutions aligned with enterprise standards
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to define strategic goals and deliver enhancements that meet short- and long-term objectives
- Monitor Windchill system health, queues, logs, and overall performance
- Execute system configuration and maintenance related to LDAP, Index server, CAD/Office worker, Publishing, WWGM, License Mgmt, and CAD (e.g., SolidWorks)
- Troubleshoot and resolve user-reported issues and provide Windchill Level 1/2/3 support as needed
- Manage ticketing applications to process support tickets, documentation
- Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions (ACLs)
- Coordinate with vendors, create support cases, and provide PTC support for escalations, patches, and upgrades
- Conduct data gathering queries and updates, propose process enhancements, and maintain efficient business process flow
- Deliver user training and guidance to improve adoption and system usage
- Configure type and attribute management, reports, lifecycles, workflows, object initialization rules, and preferences
- Create and maintain Windchill data reports and dashboards
- Test and validate configuration changes in development and staging environments
- Document configurations and changes and maintain a solution knowledge base
- Keep up to date with knowledge of Windchill PDMLink, ProjectLink, MPMLink, Partslink, and CAD Data Management, Windchill WorkGroup Manager and CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks)
- Identify opportunities to streamline PLM processes and enhance user experience
- Track and prioritize enhancement requests with process owners
- Apply PLM best practices to guide business decisions and solution designs
- Act as a subject matter expert and advisor to the business, coach peers, and contribute to process and technology improvements
- Comply with applicable Laws and Regulations, adhere to Quality Management System processes and requirements as well as demonstrate Ethics and Integrity in all matters and at all levels throughout the organization

Salary Range:
$75,937-$94,921 (Financial compensation packages may be higher/lower than listed, & will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, internal equity, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum two (2) years of hands-on experience with Windchill PLM
- Experience in Windchill System administration, such as LDAP, Index server, CAD worker, Publishing, WWGM, Office worker, License Mgmt, or Solidworks
- Experience in Windchill configuration, including type and attribute management, reporting, workflows, lifecycles, ACLs, Data Model, and object management
- Experience providing user support and troubleshooting Windchill issues
- Knowledge of Windchill reporting tools (Query Builder) and basic data analysis
- Ability to gather business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of PLM best practices and process improvement concepts
- Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
- Minimum three (3) years of hands-on experience with Windchill PLM Experience in Windchill System administration, such as LDAP, Index server, CAD worker, Publishing, WWGM, Office worker, License Mgmt, or Solidworks
- Exposure to Project Management, SDLC, and backlog management
- Knowledge of integrations with ERP, MES, or other enterprise systems
- Experience with Windchill CAD data management (SolidWorks or similar)
- Familiarity with testing practices, preparing UAT test cases, and validating solutions
- Ability to act as a subject matter expert, advise business users, and provide training
- Ability to solve problems, learn, and explore new concepts with no or minimal guidance
