Manager, Operations Finance - CR
Position Overview
As a hands-on finance operations leadership role embedded with manufacturing, report directly to and collaborate closely with the Plant Controller. Lead financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and detailed manufacturing variance reporting, while managing a team of financial analysts. Support operational excellence by optimizing working capital and providing rigorous financial justification for productivity, yield, and cost-reduction initiatives. Job duties:
- Drive a culture of financial accountability and transparency by establishing best practices that promote integrity, strong business partnership, and clear ownership across Finance and Operations.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve scalable financial reporting frameworks that provide clear visibility into inventory, product cost, plant utilization, manufacturing variances, and other key operational KPIs at site and regional levels.
- Partner closely with Operations leadership to identify, evaluate, and execute inventory optimization, productivity improvement, and cost reduction initiatives, ensuring financial impacts are clearly quantified and tracked.
- Collaborate with Business Excellence and Plant Operations teams to develop and maintain robust financial evaluation frameworks (business cases, ROI, savings validation) for cost savings, yield improvement, and operational excellence projects.
- Lead forecasting, budgeting, and manufacturing performance analysis, providing timely insights, variance explanations, and actionable recommendations to Operations and senior Finance leadership.
- Provide high quality financial reporting and analytical support to Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams, enabling data driven decision making in a regulated medical device manufacturing environment.
- Partner with Finance and Operations teams to standardize financial processes and reporting, including consistent utilization of SAP and related systems to improve data accuracy, transparency, and comparability across plants.
- Lead and project manage cross functional and regional finance initiatives aimed at improving financial processes, reporting efficiency, systems integration, and overall operational finance effectiveness.
- Develop, coach, and lead a team of financial analysts, fostering strong business acumen, manufacturing understanding, and continuous improvement mindset.
- Comply with applicable Laws and Regulations, adhere to Quality Management System processes and requirements as well as demonstrate Ethics and Integrity in all matters and at all levels throughout the organization.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required to support operational priorities, transformation initiatives, and business growth.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or finance.
- Minimum six (6) to eight (8) years of experience in financial management with increasing responsibilities.
- Minimum one (1) year of people management experience.
- Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement initiatives, root cause analysis, and project management.
- Cost accounting or supply chain finance experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Written and verbal English proficiency (B2).
- Proficient computer skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
- MBA or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA).
- A high degree of analytical capability with the demonstrated ability to structure business case around a high-level strategic vision.
- Strong strategic skills, with the proven ability to identify and assess key points, implications, and recommendations.
- Medical device industry experience.
- Accounting/finance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- SAP experience.
