Intern, Supply Chain Planning
Position Overview
Supply Chain Planning Intern Salary: $21 -$34/hour. Compensation packages may be higher/lower than what is listed, & will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, education and class level.
- Job Description: A The Supply Chain Intern will assist the Supply Chain Management team in various aspects of supply chain operations, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and process improvement. This internship offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment and provides the opportunity to learn about end-to-end supply chain processes.
- Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret supply chain data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring inventory levels, conducting audits, and implementing inventory control measures.
- Procurement Support: Help with purchase order creation, supplier communication, and tracking order status.
- Logistics Coordination: Support logistics operations, including shipment tracking, scheduling, and coordination with logistics providers.
- Process Improvement: Participate in projects aimed at streamlining supply chain processes and enhancing efficiency.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and supply chain metrics.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized records of supply chain activities and transactions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, sales, and customer service, to ensure alignment and effective communication.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and best practices in supply chain operations.
- Qualifications:
- Education: Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a bachelor's or master's degree program in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with supply chain software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
- Experience: Previous internship or work experience in supply chain management or a related field is preferred but not required.
- The primary work location for this position is Aliso Viejo, CA (company headquarters).
- Relocation may be available for qualified candidates.
