Inspector II, Receiving CR
Position Overview
Proficient in performing all duties and responsibilities of an Inspector I,Receiving – CR. Ensure raw materials, sub-assembly and final assembly quality and compliance with specifications and procedural requirements. Assist with the testing activities of pre- and post- sterilization and the release of product to Finished Goods. Perform quality inspection and training functions for new products. Job duties:
- Perform and document QC inspection activities to assure conformance to specification and procedural requirements.
- Provide support and direction to Receiving Inspector I’s (RI I) regarding inspection priorities based on production goals as required.
- Provide feedback to QA, Operations, and R&D on quality issues.
- Initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
- Execute, review, and close Build Records.
- Assist in the Testing activities of pre- and post- sterilization and the release of product to Finished Goods.
- Perform inspections and release of raw material and finished product in the ERP system (JDE).
- Perform product testing and test method.
- Perform special projects as directed.
- Comply with applicable Laws and Regulations, adhere to Quality Management System processes and requirements as well as demonstrate Ethics and Integrity in all matters and at all levels throughout the organization.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Minimum three (3) years in quality control for medical device manufacturing.
- Previous experience with video inspection equipment and other inspection tools required.
- Experience with inspection sampling plans.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Intermediate level written and spoken English language skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of inspection techniques; ability to understand and read technical documentation including mechanical drawings.
- Experience working in controlled environments (clean rooms).
- Detail oriented.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of GMPs and/or QSR, ISO regulations.
- Knowledge of computer software, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to perform Quality performance testing for product release into Finished Goods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to balance and prioritize workload to support production schedule.
