Technician I, R&D
Position Overview
Works in the laboratory to fabricate prototypes for animal and bench testing and performs testing and documentation duties with direct supervision. • Fabricate prototypes, pilot units, qualifications units, and validation units • Records test results on standard forms and writes test reports describing procedures used • Provides support for the development of new products • Interfaces with assemblers to teach new procedures • Conducts tests to verify product integrity in the design phase • Recognizes problems and takes corrective action
- • Set-up, adjust and operate laboratory equipment and instruments such as microscopes • Comprehension of technical documents • Basic math skills • HS Diploma or equivalent. High school/trade school education, or equivalent experience • Up to 3 years assembly or hands-on technician work • Prior experience in the medical device industry preferred • General computer skills including Word and Excel desirable
